Vogue Fall 2011

I'm supposed to be working out. I made the mistake of checking email first and low and behold there are new patterns to fawn over. These are courtesy of Vogue's Fall 2011 collection. Let's get to it (so I can get to the workout).

1263 Donna Karan: Love this, but not sure if it would work on me.
V1263

1259 Donna Karan:  This looks familiar. It reminds me of V1202 and Burda 7444 I'd never even attempt to wear it, but I love the rouching. Okay, maybe I'd wear the top.
V1259

1253 Tracy Reese:  1. Wish it was longer 2. Wish it came in a bigger size. I know both are achievable with alteration skills I haven't quite mastered yet. How would you do an FBA for this?
V1253

1254 Anne Klein:  I really love the neckline. I need this with an A-line skirt.
V1254

8757:  Isn't the jacket stunning? The largest size is a 16. Really Vogue?
V8757

8751:  Very cute
V8751

8743:  Whoo Hoo! Custom Fit princess seams!
V8743

8749:  Not sure I need another skirt pattern, but I do like this.
V8749

8747:  Not sure about the gathers, but I'll give any Custom Fit pattern a second look.

Back from Vacation!!

I'm back from my summer junket to New Orleans and Little Rock! This cold or whatever I have abated two days into the trip, but I worked and played hard on Thursday and now it's back with a vengeance. I thought my head was going to explode on the plane yesterday.

The fashion statement made by 400,000+ African-American women in New Orleans? It's all about the dress. In all colors and all lengths, with heels and flip flops, dresses ruled the day.

Wouldn't you know it, the dress I got the most compliments on was the one I made myself. I must add more to the collection.

Tootles!
